Please don't forget to say hello and perhaps what country you are based in. It's always lovely to know who is out there and where everyone is from. I'm really looking forward to hearing from you all. Greeting from Australia!

Hello. I am Denis Hadad (Darbukaddict). I joined the fingers of fury forum in 2010 so as to level up my skills, learn new techniques and meet new friends around the world. I left the forum in 2014 for some financial reasons and now i am here again because of the new look and the monthly subscription which is affordable for me. The forum missed me a lot, especially the sharings which every drummers here used to do. Happy drumming to all of you. Greetings from Mauritius ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hello, I'm 'm Jennifer. I've been out of the loop since 2018 and am glad to be back. I started playing in 2013, joined FOF in 2014, I, think. I've never really developed a good technique but I want to. I'm also an introvert hermit these days so the forum is a good way to connect with others from around the world, without leaving home ๐Ÿ˜. Looking forward to getting to know all of you and to developing my technique Greetings from the U.S. ๐Ÿค—

Hey there! I too was a former FoF member a number of years ago. I've been a drum set drummer my entire life and started playing darbuka 13 or 14 years ago, but have fallen out of practice and playing in the last 2 years (you know, life stuff!). I also ran a Meetup once a month for a number of years in the South Florida, USA area where I taught beginning darbuka playing. That was lots of fun and started a good number of people playing darbuka and learning Arabic and Turkish rhythms. I look forward to interacting with all of and upping are drumming skills together..

Hi everyone, from Melbourne, Australia Have been drumming off and on for sometime but never really put much time into practice due to long work hours but that has changed have reduced work hours and increased practice hours (priorities), am really enjoying my drumming, have picked up some bad habits which thanks to Matt I am correcting and am going back to basics. Really enjoying the new layout of FOF site and the new content, looking forward to many hours of practice. For some reason I couldn't upload a picture of me.

Hello from Chelsea Michigan USA. Much like Paris Joe, I've been drumming since 2011 and have enjoyed Matt's very generous Pt membership starting in 2012. I'm working on cleaning up my tone and dynamics. I'm excited to be included in this new phase of FoF. Chris

Hello from Switzerland.. I'm Sherif who just joined your wonderful group yesterday. My story with Darbuka is that I grew up in Egypt, hence, I've been drumming desks, tables, cars parked in the street - basically everything that has hard surface :-)). however, first time when I tried to hold a darbuka I immediately realised that it's completely different and dropped that whole idea.. Now after long years I've seen some guys on the street jamming with darbukas like crazy.. I went home and after short search I stumbled across this group, and sure enough joined strait away. Looking forward to interact with all of you. Cheers, Sherif
