Good morning and welcome to Day 5. More exploration today of this continuous style of playing. I just love this exercise and that is why I am wanting you all to stick with it for a while, it's a killer! Take note of what original ideas are flowing from your fingertips. Small melodic/ rhythmical signature ideas that are yours. For the level 1 and 2 drummers joining us here, some ideas worth exploring are; changing between different rhythms, different time signatures, single finger rolls and also the Persian style Tombak roll. There are dedicated practice sessions in the last chapter of the e-book! Don't underestimate the awesomeness of that e-book drummers, it took four years to write! Coming to think of it, everything project that seem to undertake has a four year time frame attached to it. Hmmmm, food for thought. Have a super session!
