Day 16. We are into the final stretch of the challenge drummers. How will we end this challenge? Where do we want to be at the end? How much more do we need to get done before then and now? Questions, questions, questions. I had a much needed break yesterday which my fingers are very thankful for. Some of you may have done the same? Today I am going back to work on the ideas from both of the videos featured in this years challenge. hey are jam packed with good drills and I know that persistance is the key with all of them.
A little 'blast from the past' with Day 16 of last years challenge:
Today i am handing you all over to a wonderful drummer whom will share his incredible skills with you all. He is a professional musician based in Israel and plays all over Europe with many a band. He also plays other drums such as Congas and has developed some techniques from this drum and applied them to the Darbuka. This technique in today's video is called the 'Double stroke hand roll.' It is not a split finger technique! It is exactly what it's name suggests...a double stroke hand roll.
On Day 16 of the challenge i am most honoured to present to you all- Yonatan Bar Rashi and the Double Stroke Hand Roll
Note: If you would like to contact Yonatan you can find him in the 'FoF' forum or on his YouTube channel as well as the comments box under the video.
